ST. O’DONNELL’S SELECT GALLERY PROFILE: STELLY G
Stelly G is a Sydney icon around the art, music and especially the fashion scene in Sydney.
Being from a dance and performance art background, we have recruited her to come bless us with a performance piece at the Select Gallery #003.
We had a short chat to her about who she is and what performance art means to her.
Who are you and what do you?
I am a young queen on my way to finding my destiny through performance art, while channeling my heritage and ancestors.
What 3 words best describe you?
RAMBUNCTIOUS, OUTRAGEOUS, ICONIC
How long have you been dancing for?
I’ve been dancing since my body connected with my soul, probably when I was a teenager when I felt certain connections and learned about my mind through rhythm.
How does dance inspire you?
It’s a movement of my being, I get to create outbursts of my own energy being placed into this big crazy world.
How do you hope to inspire others through the art form of dance?
I don’t. I just want to be me & that in itself should be an inspiration. The “dancing” / performing is just an extra layer. It’s an experienced expression.
Where is the most unusual place you have performed?
What are some of the challenges you feel dancers face?
I have bad knees. That’s my challenge every time I dance hoping these cunts don’t let me down literally.
What can people expect from your performance dance at the St. O’Donnell Select Gallery
DON’T EXPECT SHIT!!!! Let it be organic.
Stelly G will be among a select group of artists, musicians and fashion designers at St. O’Donnell’s Select Gallery #003.
St. O’Donnell’s Select Gallery will be a curated exhibition held in one of Sydney’s iconic cathedrals on the 16th of December.
